CASSY Support and Counseling
Redwood Middle School is delighted to continue our new partnership with Counseling and Support Services for Youth (CASSY), a Silicon Valley agency that provides professional mental health services to students in their academic setting. CASSY supports students’ social and emotional well-being through crisis intervention, ongoing counseling and proactive mental health education.
By addressing the social and emotional obstacles that make it difficult to focus on academics, CASSY’s counselors help give young people a chance to get the most out of the educational opportunities that are provided to them. When students’ social and emotional wellbeing is improved, academic achievement tends to follow. CASSY is the same agency that is working at Saratoga High School, thus there will be a continuity of care should it be needed.
